  29.                              IMPORTANT NOTES
  30.  
  31. Some of the text files included with this program include a special
  32. character that looks like ' '.  This character is not a mistake, but it is
  33. useful when printing documents because it tells your printer to start a
  34. new sheet of paper.  The file MANUAL.TXT contains lots of these so that
  35. you get a clearer manual when you print it out, and REGISTER.TXT uses
  36. these characters to split the order form.

  38.                           DISPLAYING TEXT FILES
  39.  
  40. To display any of the .TXT files included with this program, just type the
  41. following at the DOS prompt: 'TYPE C:\GUITAR\NOTE.TXT | MORE'.  Of course,
  42. the exact form of the command depends on which file you wish to read, and
  43. in which directory it is stored.  Also, the '|' character is generated by
  44. holding down a SHIFT key, and then pressing the key just to the left of
  45. 'Z'.

  47.                                INSTALLATION
  48.  
  49. To install Guitarist's Toolbox, just make sure this disk is in any disk
  50. drive.  Then perform the following:
  51.  
  52.     * Type the letter of the drive containing the program disk followed by
  53.       a colon, eg. 'A:' or 'B:'. Press <ENTER>.
  54.  
  55.     * Type 'INSTALL progdiskdrive: targetdrive:'. Where 'progdiskdrive is
  56.       exactly the same as the previous command, and 'targetdrive' is the
  57.       drive letter of your hard disk followed by a colon.  Press <ENTER>.
  58.       Sub-directories can be named in the progdiskdrive argument ONLY.  For
  59.       example, if the program files are stored on drive A:, in a directory
  60.       called TOOLBOX, you could type
  61.  
  62.             INSTALL A:\TOOLBOX C:
  63.  
  64.       By default, the Toolbox files are copied to a directory called GUITAR on
  65.       the targetdrive.
  66.  
  67.     * Note that if you are intending to run Toolbox from a floppy disk,
  68.       this routine is unnecessary.  Just switch to the directory on the
  69.       floppy disk that contains all the Toolbox files, and type GUITAR
  70.       followed by <ENTER>.  You must do this every time you run Toolbox.
  71.       The procedure will be something like this:
  72.          A: <ENTER>
  73.          CD GUI_TOOL <ENTER> (Unnecessary if the files are in the root dir)
